The Blue Yeti is ultra-popular among bloggers and it’s easy to see why–it’s a great-sounding microphone that has a clean, premium-style design. It’s also affordably priced (for a premium microphone). The big question for many people who are thinking about buying one is ”should I go with the Yeti?” or ”is the Blue Yeti right for me?” In this video, I’m going to do a full review of the new blue yeti so you know exactly whether or not it’s the right microphone for you. Ultimately what I recommend is that this microphone is going to be best suited for solo podcasting. There are 2 reasons for this: 1. The biggest advantage of the Blue Yeti is how clear it sounds. For single-person podcasts, that is fantastic! You really want that clear crisp sound. For multiple people podcasts (or if you plan on cohosts or you do want or plan to do recordings with multiple people) then being able to hear everyone’s voice clearly is less important. So at that point, some other types of microphones might make more sense because they are designed to handle several different audio sources at once 2.
